One of the difficulties in working with music in my church is how to stave off total boredom. I'm always interested in ways to dress up hymns. I find that while many people like sticking to the hymns they already know, they will also sit up and pay more attention if there is something out of the ordinary going on as well. So I've written some obligato lines to go along with common hymns. They correspond with the LDS hymnal, but most of these hymns are used with other denominations as well. While I intended them for violin, many other C instruments could also play them.
